You might imagine given the current state of affairs that music streaming would be doing better than ever.
In reality with much of the national world practicing social distancing right now music streaming is down overall because it typically peaks over the weekend when friends are typically hanging out.
But that hasn’t stopped The Weeknd, who is on track to have the best debut week of 2020 with his new album After Hours.
It’s essentially a lock that he will debut at #1 and also very possible he will surpass BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7, which currently owns the year’s best week of sales.
If he does, he will also record his own personal best debut sliding past 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness.
