When we reflect on 2019 lots of songs define the year, but the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry which represents the interests of the music biz globally has just revealed the year’s biggest hits worldwide by weighing the most audio and video streams, downloads, and traditional sales.
And the honor goes to Billie Eilish’s "bad guy" with the equivalent of 19.5 million copies sold. That’s over a million more than Lil Nas X’s "Old Town Road" at #2.
It’s now even harder to argue that "bad guy" wasn’t the song of 2019 considering it was earth’s bestselling track and the Grammy’s Record and Song of the Year.
