Taking six years between studio albums is a long time for any band, but for the members of Echosmith it’s nearly an eternity.
They grew from being teenagers into 20-somethings during the in-between. Lead singer Sydney Sierota, was 16, is now married.
Their brand-new project is called Lonely Generation and Sydney tells PopCrush that growth is evident when you listen to it, but it still feels like an Echosmith record.
"For us it really feels like it’s the same band at the core of it, but we’re older and we have a lot more experience with life in general. That means we’ve gotten to experience grief in a way that we never have experienced, but also experience love and excitement in a way that we never have before. I think there’s a lot more depth to the music and the lyrics in this album," she says
Sydney is also thrilled to finally get Lonely Generation out there, tweeting: "it’s an amazing feeling."
