Grimes is reportedly expecting a child with Elon Musk.
The "We Appreciate Power" musician announced her pregnancy news on social media Wednesday (January 8), telling fans she's "knocked up" and feeling "very feral." To break the news, Grimes posted a NSFW image of herself appearing topless and with what appeared to be a fetus superimposed on her stomach.
Grimes eventually confirmed her pregnancy in response to a comment praising her for not concealing her nipples in the original photograph (which has since been replaced, below). “I thought about censoring them for a hot minute haha (this may get taken down anyway) but the photo is so much less feral without the nipples," she wrote. "Plus being knocked up is a very feral & war-like state of being. Might as well be what it is.”
"Plus most of my friends told me not to post them so then I was afflicted w reverse psychology," she continued. "Interrogated my shame on it and decide it was sum weird internalized self hatred to feel uncomfortable abt my body."
Although she's yet to name the father of her future child, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO is believed to be the dad. As fans know, the pair made their debut as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala. In a 2019 interview with WSJ. Magazine, the "Venus Fly" artist described Musk as a "super-interesting godd—n person," expressing, "I love him."
