Taylor Swift celebrated the world premiere of Cats in New York City, alongside boyfriend Joy Alwyn.
Wearing a floral, ruby Oscar de la Renta gown, Swift, 30, was all smiles on the carpet on Monday (December 16) as she posed alongside her castmates at the musical's premiere at the Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. While Swift appeared next to her film co-stars Idris Elba, James Corden, Jennifer Hudson and more on the carpet, Alwyn, 28, was also present at the event and spotted heading out of the venue hand-in-hand with the superstar. As for Cats, the upcoming 2020 Glastonbury Festival headliner gushed to ET about her opportunity to write and record and an original song for the movie alongside the Broadway musical's legendary creator, Andrew Lloyd Webber. "That alone was just a life-changing dream-come-true moment for me," Swift said of writing "Beautiful Ghosts," which recently earned her a 2020 Golden Globes nomination. "It's one of those songs that I feel like the movie doesn't make sense without that song. It's not like it was just a song that was stuck into the film. This is a character that is a lead character in the film, and in the original Broadway production, she doesn't have a song."
Cats heads to theaters nationwide on December 20.
