25 years ago Mary J Blige released one of the most influential records of all time, My Life.
It is arguably the first project to seamlessly fuse timeless soul with hard-hitting hop hop and inarguably one of the best to ever do it.
Now as it's celebrating its Silver Anniversary, Diddy, who discovered Mary and executive produced the record has announced a documentary about her life.
The untitled project coming to Amazon will reveal the incredible struggles Mary faced both before and after finding fame.
Mary reflected on the way My Life changed her world, writing on Instagram:
"I released this album to the world and it opened the doors to people who were in pain just like me. It touched so many people lives in the world and it gave me confirmation that I wasn’t alone…and we had to fight for our lives."
