Selena Gomez Surprises With New Dance Bop 'Look At Her Now': See The Video

“Took a few years to soak up the tears, but look at her now.”

Selena Gomez, resident dance pop princess, came back to reclaim her crown with a banging new song called “Look At Her Now.”

Just a single day after releasing her long-awaited comeback track, “Lose You to Love Me,” Gomez surprise-released a follow-up jam made just for the dance floor. But resting at the heart of this up-tempo groove is a meaningful message about growth and finding one’s self again after years of shedding tears over a tumultuous relationship. “They fell in love one summer/ A little too wild for each other/ Shiny ’til it wasn’t/ Feels good ’til it doesn’t,” Gomez sings in the candid opening verse. “It was her first real love/ His too ’til he had another/ Oh, God, when she found out/ Trust levels went way down.”

The Sophie Muller-directed music video for the record — co-written with Julia Michaels, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Justin Tranter — is even more fierce, as it shows the 27-year-old busting out choreography with her all-girl backup dancers inside a white room illuminated with kaleidoscopic lights. “I felt having these two songs released back to back completed the story of how one can rise no matter what challenges life brings,” Gomez said in a statement. “Turning off the noise and living your life on your terms.”

As we stated, “Look At Her Now” is the latest we’ve received from what’s believed to be the artist’s highly-anticipated upcoming third studio album. Her last LP, Revival, dropped back in 2015. Since then, Gomez has unveiled a number music projects over the years, including solos from 2017’s “Fetish” to 2018’s “Back To You” to collaborations with Kygo ("It Ain't Me"), Marshmello ("Wolves"), DJ Snake ("Taki Taki" also featuring Cardi B and Ozuna"), and Benny Blanco ("I Can't Get Enough" also featuring J Balvin and Tainy).
