'NSYNC’s Lance Bass had previously divulged the very first person he came out of the closet to was none other than his close friend, Britney Spears.
But he just revealed exactly why it was her to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, and it turns out it was to console her. Lance explains: "It was the night she got married the first time to Jason Alexander."
If you don’t recall, Jason was the childhood friend Britney married on a whim in Vegas in 2004, that was annulled 55 hours later.
"I went up to Vegas to kind of see the craziness that was happening and she was a little upset once she realized what she had done because, you know, it was a funny thing," Lance continues. "And then she started, like, really crying and, like, she was so upset. And so I took her to her room and we were sitting on her bed and she wouldn’t stop crying, so I was like, 'I'm gay.' And it made her stop crying...she chuckled."
Lance also talked about the possibility of 'NSYNC reuniting without Justin, saying maybe one day with a wink.
