Are we finally getting closer to the first taste of Rihanna’s new album? We just might be!
She just confirmed she will be heading back to her homeland, the island of Barbados, for their annual Crop Over Festival.
It's a 6-week-long, 200-year-old event that traditionally honors the end of island’s sugar cane farming season.
Rihanna loves her culture and island, so she routinely makes the trip to the festival and dresses up in elaborate costumes that always break the internet.
She has already mentioned her new album is heavily influenced by Caribbean music, reggae in particular, and just announced she is making an appearance at Lost in Paradise, a small music festival that’s part of the Crop Over Festival.
So it makes sense that she will perform at least one new track.
Lost in Paradise will take place on August 3rd.
