Miley Cyrus Admits She Was Wrong

Typically when a YouTuber criticizes a popstar in a video fans sound off in the comments and the artist themselves never chimes in, but not Miley Cyrus.

Miley had already received heat back in 2017 for a Billboard interview where she talked about distancing herself from the hip hop scene because of what she called clichés where people brag about Lamborghinis and Rolexes, which she added is not her.

YouTuber As Told By Kenya discussed it a new post and added she had done some racially insensitive things in that era and culturally appropriated.

And Miley essentially agreed in the comments, writing in part:

"Being silent is not like me at all. I am aware of my platform and have always used it the best way I know how and to shine a light on injustice. I want to start with saying I am sorry. I own the fact that saying ... 'this pushed me out of the hip hop scene a little' was insensitive as it is a privilege to have the ability to dip in and out of 'the scene.'"
