Why Woodstock 50 Is Now One Step Closer to Actually Happening

Woodstock 50, the summer festival planned for upstate New York to mark the 50 anniversary of the legendary 1969 concert is one step closer to now happening after financiers attempted to cancel it against the will of organizers. But it’s still got a long way to go.

A judge has ruled the finance company had no right to cancel the show. However, they also have the right to take back more than $17 million that they had contributed towards the event.

That leaves organizers in need of more than $30 million total to pay for everything necessary and almost no time to raise it.

That said, this is the one of the most iconic brand names in music and the bill is pretty stacked so it possible.
