Carrie Underwood’s Husband Adorably Trolls Her ‘American Idol’ Hair

Step aside Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Carrie Underwood’s husband Mike Fisher and Instagram have arrived. The hunky NHL player trolled the Grammy winner in honor of her 35th birthday on March 10 by poking fun at her former self.

The athlete posted a shot of Carrie performing on American Idol back in the day with voluminzed hair.

“Happy birthday to an incredible wife and an amazing mom with killer hair! :)" he captioned the shot. "All kidding aside you’re a blessing to Izzy and I everyday! Love you @carrieunderwood.”

Carrie laughed at the joked and commented back: "You just can’t let some things go, can ya’? Hey, you marry a girl from the South, you get a lifetime subscription to Elnett...mmmkay?"

The country superstar rose to fame after winning season 4 of American Idol back in 2005. Prior to competing on the show, the Oklahoma native had never even been on an airplane.

She and Mike have been married for seven years and are the parents of 3-year-old son Isaiah
