DJ Khaled Bonds With Ryan Over Joining Weight Watchers for Asahd

#BlessUp! DJ Khaled is focusing on his health in the new year — and in the most DJ Khaled way. The music producer and The Four: Battle for Stardom judge has lost more than 20 pounds since partnering with Weight Watchers as a new ambassador for its Oprah-approved Freestyle Program. While chatting with Ryan on-air on Thursday, January 11, Khaled shared he views his weight loss not as a loss, but, of course, a win.

“I’ve always been staying focused on my health to always be greater and I always love to workout as much as I can, but you know something I wanted to work on was eating better and eating better takes discipline and I’ve been blessed to be with Weight Watchers and this new program called The Freestyle program and it was important to me because of my son,” DJ Khaled told Ryan live on-air. “My son [Asahd] is my biggest blessing and I have to make sure I’m super focused for my son and my family as well my myself.”

DJ Khaled added that he joined the program because it is attainable to his lifestyle and something he “could naturally do” to be more disciplined.

“The freestyle program was amazing for me because I can eat whatever I wanna eat,” he continued. “I just can’t go over my point system and when I found there are 200 zero-point foods like eggs, fruit, skinless chicken and fish, I was, like, wow, and I like it too because it’s not about racing to get rid of weight. You know, I don’t lose weight — all I do is win.”

While the self-described music man has been busy working in the studio as well as with others including Jennifer Lopez and Demi Lovato, he’s also lending his talents to new FOX talent show The Four: Battle for Stardom.

“That show is incredible, man,” DJ Khaled shared of the competition show, which is in partnership with iHeartMedia. “Again, I always tell my fans do things that you love to do and ... I’m a music man and to be part of a music competition show on primetime TV, it’s straight raw, it’s straight real.”
