There’s Now a 'Diet' Avocado With 30% Less Fat

Somebody invented a diet avocado and we have mixed feelings. According to GrubStreet.com, a fruit company in Spain has invented a “light avocado” that has only 30 percent of the fat.

The company, Eurobanan’s Isla Bonita, describes the Avocado Light as having a “mild” flavor and “juicier” pulp, that also ripens faster without oxidizing.

Avocados are known for being a healthy fat though. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), one cup of sliced avocado has about 21 grams of fat, 14 grams of which is monounsaturated fat, which has been shown to lower bad cholesterol.

How do you feel about the invention of a diet avocado?!
