Season 22 American Idol contestant Ziggy is proof you should follow your dreams, despite what anyone says.
The Dutch singer evoked an emotional response from the judges following his audition and after sharing on the reality show he feels "the Netherlands is too small" for him.
Ziggy shared with Ryan Seacrest on-air after-the-fact that he's also looked past bullies who have tried to shut down his dreams.
"I like to be creative and so people are just really hateful," he said. "... When I was younger I had dreams and I think it's important in life to stick to your dreams if you really believe in what's going to happen, it's going to happen. Don't act like an icon, be an icon! Even when a whole county is against, just focus on who you are."
