Pregnant Sisanie Opens Up About Gestational Diabetes

It's #HumpDayBumpDay and this week, pregnant Sisanie is getting real about being diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

Sisanie, who is execting her third child, shared she was embarrassed to admit it, but felt compelled to share her story for all the other mamas out there.

"[I have] boderline gestational diabetes," Sisanie shared in this week's update. "I don’t fully have it, but for the remainder of my pregnancy I have to monitor my blood sugar levels by pricking my finger 4 times a day.”

Gestational diabetes is a condition in which your blood sugar levels become high during pregnancy. It affects up to 10% of women who are pregnant in the U.S. each year and can be managed by diet and exercise.
