The Flaming Lips Announce 'World’s First Space Bubble Concert'

Over the last few months, we’ve seen artists perform at drive-in concerts with the audience safely in their car and others take the virtual stage for livestreams, but The Flaming Lips are craving the energy that can only come from an in-person concert so they came up with a plan they call “Space Bubbles.”

They’re planning a show for next year where the band and every audience member will be in a separate plastic bubble, kind of like a hamster ball, to maintain social distancing.

The first 'Space Bubble' concert is set for Oklahoma City in January and they hope to bring the concept to more cities if it’s a success.

Would you attend?
