How Michael Che Hopes We Can Grow from the Protests

SNL star Michael Che joined Seth Meyers on The Late Late Show for a heartfelt conversation that touched on everything from his brother, who’s an NYPD officer, to why he paid the rent for 160 tenants in the New York building his late grandmother lived in, as well as the protests.

And through the turmoil on the streets nationwide, more than anything, he sees hope for the future.

"I think the optimism can be seen in these young people especially their ability to unite and be on the same accord," he told Seth. "It’s coming across as extremely destructive but I do think if they channel it that they will get a lot done that generations before them couldn’t get done. So we're seeing their power.”
