ABC’s Next ‘Bachelorette’ Is Clare Crawley: 5 Things to Know

We have a new Bachelorette! ABC announced on Monday, March 2, the season 16 Bachelorette will be Clare Crawley. The Bachelor, Bachelor In Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games alum helped make the announcement on Good Morning America.

“So unexpected,” she told GMA's Lara Spencer. “I cannot believe it. I mean, six years later. What is happening?”

Clare first appeared on Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor in 2014 and fans of the show will remember she was in it for the long run, ending up Juan Pablo’s runner-up.

She’s also already been engaged: Clare and Winter Games’ alum Benoit Beauséjour-Savard got engaged in 2018 on the Reunion Show but split that April.

But, most importantly, Clare is making #BachelorNation history being the eldest Bachelorette yet and we’re so here for it.

During her appearance on GMA, the 38-year-old said she’s open to dating younger men. "For me, it just is more years under my belt, more learning and knowing what I want, what I don't want," she shared.

According to Bachelor spoiler guru Reality Steve, 14 men have already been cast ranging between the ages of 23 and 40 and four of the men are already dads.
