Woman Takes Mini-Service Horse on First Class Flight

Hay! It's not everyday you see a miniature horse on an airplane.

But that was just the case when Ronica Froese and her equine companion, Fred, travelled first-class from Michigan to California.

"I purchased two first-class seats in bulkhead seating, I paid an arm and a leg for tickets, but I did so because it was Fred's first time and I wanted him to be comfortable," she explained. "I wanted him to have the most room."

For the past year, Ronica has been training Fred to be a therapy and a service horse. "I was totally prepared for everything," she said. "Fred was an angel, and behaved like he had been on thousands of flights."

Other than the many looks Fred probably got, it sounds like his first trip went smoothly!
