Who Is the Guy Nailing Scooby Doo's Voice in the New 'SCOOB!' Trailer?

The trailer for SCOOB!, the CG-animated origin story of the bromance between Scooby Doo and Shaggy, is out and it quickly became YouTube’s #1 trending video.

It goes all the way back to Scooby and Shaggy’s first meeting as puppy and child and to bring the story to life they recruited an all-star cast.

Shaggy is voiced by Will Forte, Daphne by Amanda Seyfried, Fred is Zac Efron and Gina Rodriguez tackles Velma. Mark Walberg also voices the mysterious Blue Falcon.

But what everyone’s talking about is Scooby’s voice and how much the voice actor nailed it.

Well it turns out, that is for good reason because it’s the legendary Frank Welker, who’s been voicing Scooby for the past 17 years.

But his history with the franchise goes way beyond that. Frank was the original voice of Fred, dating back to 1969, which was his very first voice role.

He’s been part of the Scooby Doo family for 50 years straight and producers felt when you’ve got a guy who knows the role so well why mess with a good thing.
