Miley Cyrus has been busy recording her new album, but has been forced to slow down production to take care of a very important asset, her voice.
According to People Magazine, Miley was hospitalized for tonsillitis last month when the doctor happened to discover an issue with her vocal cords.
She was forced to have surgery and not only shut down the singing, but go completely silent for several weeks to heal and the prognosis is good.
While Miley can’t sing or speak, that doesn’t mean she can’t continue to write music.
Word is she’s staying busy and upbeat and will be back in the vocal booth with plenty of material as soon as she can.
