Selena Gomez’s next single "Lose You to Love Me" is almost here. This will be the first off her new album, which we hear is essentially done.
Most fans are convinced based on its title and some posts, which seem to be lyrics, that the song is about her ex Justin Bieber.
Others think it may be about her more recent breakup with The Weeknd, but then there are some who think its meaning goes even deeper.
Selena has been posting adorable pics of her as a kid captioned with seeming lyrics like "I gave my all and they all know it" and "You promised the world."
The theory is that the title "Lose You to Love Me" is a reference to the old Selena, the kid inside of her whose aspirations she’s always trying to live up to.
And in order to really love herself she had to say goodbye to those expectations of who she’s supposed to be now.
So is it a simply a song about an ex or a far deeper concept about growing into yourself?
