Remember the cheerleader who was assigned to Ryan Seacrest in high school and made him chocolate covered pretzels on game day? We tracked her down!
On September 30, Ryan caught up with his high school friend Carrie Russack Ackel and Tanya Rad successfully convinced her to join Ryan’s childhood tour of Atlanta she’s planning.
“I have to give credit where credit is due,” Carrie admitted on-air. “They were my mom’s. You were obsessed.”
Carrie, who was close friends with Ryan and the rest of their squad in high school during his Dunwoody football days, dished that Ryan doesn’t seem “much different as he is now” and that yes, “he was popular!”
Tanya then told Carrie all about the tour she wants to plan, retracing the memorable spots from Ry’s teenage years from the basements to the churches and more.
“You may have to show her around since you were my cheerleader,” Ryan informed Carrie.
Find out what Carrie thinks and more by watching back the on-air moment in the video above! Which other memorable spots should we hit up? Sound off on social @OnAirWithRyan.
