Like Julia Michaels before her, Tayla Parx is the next songwriting mastermind who is making the move from writer to pop stardom.
Tayla is behind hue hits for the likes of Ariana Grande, Panic! at the Disco and Khalid. So she has obviously gotten to work with plenty of huge stars.
But there’s one she has yet to hit the studio with that's at the top of her bucket list, and that’s Missy Elliott.
"I went through a phase when I was younger, and I was like, I want to write for everybody that influenced me," she tells Billboard. "So I got to go through all the divas – the Mariahs, the Christinas...and I would love to just get in a room with [Elliott] and pick her brain and see why she thinks the way that she does, or how she does it."
