Alanis Morissette's 'Jagged Litttle Pill' is Heading to Broadway

A lot of women and more than a few men who grew up in the 90s felt like Alanis Morissette’s seminal album Jagged Little Pill painted a vivid picture.

It almost could have been a Broadway musical that touched on pain, healing and empowerment, and now 24 years after its debut, it is.

Academy Award winning writer Diablo Cody penned a Broadway adaptation also called Jagged Little Pill.

Diane Paulus, who directed the hit musicals Waitress and Pippin will also helm this production.

Jagged Little Pill actually had its debut in Boston last summer and sold out all 79 of its performances and earned rave reviews.

It’s expected to announce its Broadway premiere date in the coming months.
