Becca Kufrin is kicking off season 14 of The Bachelorette on Monday, May 28, and after 36 seasons of The Bachelor franchise in total — and a scripted spinoff based on the dating competition show, UnReal — Ryan Seacrest asked the Bachelor season 22 alum just how much of the show is really scripted.
“For me, everything I did and said was me and I know that people think at times I’m told to say something, but it’s all me,” Becca shared when she stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, May 24. “A lot of times I cringe because I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I just said that or did that’ but, yeah, it’s real.”
That said, Becca does admit a lot of the introductions during night one when the men get out of the limo are cheesy AF.
“They really — I will say — every entrance the guys always did something funny or memorable and there were some that I cringed at a little bit, but for the most part, I was always laughing though,” she added. “And it was cute because they were all so nervous and so was I.”
Among her 28 suitors are a banjoist, a construction manager, a stuntman and two pro football players.
Becca previously revealed to People magazine ahead of the season 14 premiere that she has indeed found love and is engaged to one of the contestants after being devastatingly dumped by Arie Luyendyk Jr. on national TV last season.
“I am engaged!” the 28-year-old publicist told the mag in this week’s issue, on stands Friday. “It was the happiest moment of my life. And it feels so good to say it. I still pinch myself, like, did that all just happen? It’s been a whirlwind.”
While in the OAWRS studio, naturally we asked her about the engagement, but she had to stay mum.
“It’s true!” she gushed. “I can’t wear [the ring] until after the final rose unfortunately. It has to stay a secret. The ring will be revealed with the man.”
We. Can’t. Wait.
Watch back the interview above and tune into the season 14 premiere of The Bachelorette on ABC on Monday, May 28, at 8 p.m.
