Like more and more women these days, Chrissy Teigen chose not to take her husband John Legend's last name when they got married back in 2013.
Well, a Twitter user recently posted a question asking why women didn’t take their husband’s last names after marriage.
Chrissy had the perfect response: “My husband didn’t even take his last name?"
She continued: "I am not anti-taking the last name at all. I was going to. just never got around to it and it isn't even the name he goes by. It wasn't some grand statement not to. I just don't see how the choice affects anyone else - why do people care so much!"
For the record John Legend is only his stage name. His real name is John Stephens, which is the reason their daughter Luna’s last name is Stephens.
