Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans helped grant a dying boy’s last wish thanks to Fox News correspondent Shannon Bream. Bream tweeted asking if anyone in the Avengers universe could help a young boy named Emilio live out his dream of meeting a superhero in real-life.
“Need your help Twitterverse - trying to help a young boy who is dying," she wrote. "He probably has just days and all he want is a greeting from one of the Avengers. If you have a celeb connection, please let me know. Otherwise, could you help out with a RT? Thank you in advance!”
Reynolds, who stars in Deadpool, was quick to offer help despite not being a core member of the Avengers crew.
“I’m more of a “Reserve Avenger”. But happy to help. DM me,” the charitable hunk responded to Bream.
Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, also sprung into action, tweeting back at Breams: “Happy to! DM me.”
Paul Bethany also got on board, tweeting: “I’m the purple one. DM me.”
Bream has since updated followers, revealing that major progress in making Emilio’s dream come true has happened.
“Thank you, EVERYONE! Major progress has been made because of you," she tweeted. "A special assist coming in from @jaketapper 👏🏼 I guess Twitter can be full of love when someone really needs it.”
