Okay wait, this is actually such an L.A. concept...it’s basically a half marathon, but instead of just suffering the whole time, you’re stopping along the route to eat at some of the city’s best spots.
Like imagine running 13 miles through neighborhoods like Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Highland Park, and casually refueling with things like bagels, pizza, and French toast…for free.
The route goes through Highland Park, Echo Park and Silver Lake…and stops Courage Bagels, Quarter Sheets Pizza, Found Oyster, Amboy Burgers and Sqirl Café.
The whole vibe isn’t even super intense either it’s more like a moving food crawl than a serious race.
There’s no prize at the end, just bragging rights and the experience, and only 100 people get picked through a lottery (you enter in pairs, which is kinda cute).
It’s happening May 17th, and honestly it sounds more like a foodie block party that just happens to involve running.
