There’s this new hangout idea people are calling a “memory mining night,” and it’s basically a really simple way to spend time with friends without spending a bunch of money.
Instead of going out, everyone just hangs out at someone’s house and scrolls through old stuff on their phones like photos, texts, playlists, or even random notes and shares the stories behind them.
It turns into this fun little trip down memory lane where everyone takes turns showing something and explaining the moment behind it.
The whole vibe is very nostalgic and low-key, kind of like a grown-up version of a sleepover.

People end up laughing at old concert photos, remembering trips or embarrassing moments, and saying “oh my gosh I forgot about that!” all night.
And the best part is it doesn’t require much at all—just a couch, some snacks, and everyone just reliving old memories together.
