Amy Schumer Talks About Loving Her Post-Baby Body

It's safe to say that happiness makes everyone look great - and Amy Schumer knows that now especially.

Ever since welcoming her son Gene on May 5th with her husband Chris Fischer, Amy has been flauting her happiness (and her adorable new son) on Instagram, and people are absolutely noticing how fantastic and happy she looks.

Over the weekend, Amy shared a hilarious photo with her husband and son on the beach - the first photo was a normal pic, walking on the beach, but the second shows her in a huge beach wheelchair, with husband Chris pushing her.

She captioned the pair of photos "we're good" and got several comments about how funny the second photo was - and several others saying they also needed a chair like that for the beach.

But one comment in particular caught Amy's attention. A woman commented on the photo, "So beautifull a normal womans body you look great!!" to which Amy replied, "I am loving my warm soft post baby body. Grateful to be feeling so strong again!"

While the "strong" comment may have been a bit of a joking jab at her photo in the wheelchair, Amy posting photos in a swim suit and being so honest online has definitely meant something to other new moms out there.

Several comments followed Amy's writing things like, "you look great! But like seriously ain’t no body got time to worry about body image w a young infant. It takes time and that’s ok" and "Soft is great! It’s a reminder of what we have done to bring our babes to the world! Rock it mama."

My personal favorite comment on the photo? One mom wrote: "thank you for all the good vibes and inspiration that you give all of us women. Some days I realize I haven’t showered, brushed my teeth or put on pants and I would normally beat myself up. Then I’m like, what would Amy do? She would laugh and keep on living and so I skip the self deprecation and live too!"

Loving that Amy's honesty on Instagram is giving moms everywhere the feeling of community - because we're all in this together ladies! It definitely takes time to fully feel like yourself again, but that's just fine! Take all the time you have to. And enjoy your baby!
