It's no secret that we're all a little obsessed with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's relationship. They're such an adorable couple who regularly troll each other online and clearly have a fun relationship and life at home.
That life at home includes their two daughters, James, 4 years old, and Inez, 2 years old.
So how do these two working parents make it work when they have two young daughters to think of as well as their careers?
They don't work at the same time.
Seriously. That's how they make it work.
Ryan explained their agreement to not work on movies at the same time, and it makes total sense.
“Blake and I don’t do movies at the same time. If she is doing a movie in Thailand and I am doing a movie in Vancouver we would just never see each other. We operate as a unit, and that works really well for us... The kids stay with us, and the family stays together, and that is where home is. So if we are in Spain or Utah or New York, as long as we are together, we’re home.”
Well, that's the sweetest thing ever. And I definitely agree that this is probably the only way for actors to make it work! They're constantly in new cities, but if the entire family can be in the same city, then it doesn't matter where they are.
In the interview, Ryan also talked about how it's nice to be in a movie that his young daughters can watch - unlike his recent work in Deadpool - with his upcoming movie, Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
“To be a part of a film that my wife, Blake, is as excited about as my two daughters is unusual and super-exciting for me... It’s so cool to see my girls pumped.”
