Harvey Levin Says Harry & Meghan Special Will Show ‘Disaster’ Megxit Was

Prince Harry Marries Ms. Meghan Markle - Procession

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the royal family was a complete “disaster” according to TMZ’s Harvey Levin. Levin is behind tonight’s Fox special, Harry & Meghan: The Royals in Crisis.

The one-hour special will focus on where the couple goes from here. “More than a dozen people with real ties to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife, Meghan Markle, as well as the rest of the royals, have the exclusive story of the tensions that led to a nearly impossible decision for the Queen,” Fox shares of the highly-anticipated special. “The special also focuses on the quiet moves of Harry and Meghan to enter the world of entertainment.”

Mark Cuban, Dr. Phil, Piers Morgan, Lisa Vanderpump and even our very own Ryan Seacrest appear in the special.

“This could be the beginning of the end of the royals,” Harvey shared on-air on Wednesday, January 29. “The Queen begged them -- begged them -- not to leave and they said we’re doing it anyway so they checkmated her and now all the royals behind them are looking at them and saying they could make a fortune just going somewhere else and not having the trappings.”

Harvey added the special also sheds light on what really went down upon megxit.

“She is being made a scapegoat here and there are elements of racism here, but Harry never liked being a royal. Never,” Harvey continued. “And it’s not that he didn’t love his family; he just never liked the trappings and you will see in this special … we’ve talked with people who’ve served with him in the military and he was his absolute happiest as a grunt solider in Afghanistan.”

Harvey added that their exit was a “disaster” and that family ties are not good right now.

“Harry and William barely speak. Kate and Meghan don’t get along. The Queen is really upset about this. She’s devastated. This did not work out well and in some ways they all could have seen this coming,” he concluded. “… You’ve got to wonder did Harry kind of know this was an end game here? That this wasn’t going to work out particularly well in England? Because I can tell you for much of 2019 they were planning this.”

Listen back to the full interview above and catch the special tonight on Fox at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
