Rapper 21 Savage had a hit song in the summer of ’17 called “Bank Account,” but he admits growing up his actual knowledge regarding bank accounts or investing was nearly zero.
This is why he’s making a difference in the lives of kids like he was by endowing them with financial knowledge via his Bank Account Campaign.
He explains: ""As I have gotten smarter about financial management, I realize how empowering it is to control your money rather than be controlled by it.”
Adding: ”I want to help kids with a background similar to mine get smart about their money."
He’s partnered with nonprofit Juma and Get Schooled for the initiative, which he sees as a necessity since finance is almost never a topic tackled in public schools.
