Season 14 of ABC’s The Bachelorette kicked off Monday (May 28) night and Bachelor Nation fans met 28 new suitors to critique slash swoon over. One of the fan favorites of the evening was Colton Underwood — a seriously sweet former football player who now runs a charity committed to supporting people living with Cystic Fibrosis.
The hunk competing for Becca Kufrin’s heart also just so happens to be Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman’s ex-boyfriend and once Twitter noticed it during the premiere, they couldn’t get over it.
“Haven’t started Bach yet but feel it’s necessary to state that Colton dated Aly Raisman for a hot minute,” one person on Twitter wrote, while another added: “Never 4get that Colton dated Olympic icon Aly Raisman #TheBachelorette.”
Another Bachelorette fan broke down other contestants while also noting that Colton may be on the show for the wrong reasons.
“Okkkkkk...Garrett was cute. Jordan looks like a douchey Ken doll. And Colton would be great except he dated Aly Raisman then Tia before going on this season sooooo maybs he just really wants to be famous ?? Imma go with that fo sho. #TheBachelorette,” the Twitter user wrote.
Others were quick to comment on Colton’s alleged viriginity claims, which he tells Becca about in a trailer for season 14.
“.@Aly_Raisman: girl to girl, can you pls confirm / deny Colton’s virginity? #theBachlorette,” a Twitter user hilariously questioned.
For the record, Colton and Aly split back in June 2017. At the time, the former Chargers player told The Lincoln Journal Star: "We’re taking a break right now. We’re still good friends and talk, but all that travel had been a nightmare. It ended fine. We’re in a good place."
