As fans counted down the days, weeks and months to the release of Shawn Mendes' self-titled album, an array of conspiracy theories surrounding the project surfaced among social media and the Mendes Army.
At iHeartRadio's Wango Tango on Saturday night, the singer-songwriter joined KIIS FM's JoJo Wright and Jesse Lozano to have some fun with the topic.
"When we were releasing the music, we had font," Mendes said. "Basically it would say โIn My Bloodโ and it would be โB-L-O-O,โ and there was like a space before the โDโ. Just a space. And I have no idea why we did that. They thought it was a secret kind of thing where we were trying to code themโฆThey thought it was a secret to the album name, and I was like, โNo, itโs nothing to do with that.โ I had this one in my back pocket, and itโs called Shawn Mendes."
