A 5.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Burma (Myanmar) on Friday (July 18), according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake was centered in Shwebo at a depth of 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles). The USGS said it received four reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.
The latest earthquake was reported less than four months after a deadly 7.7-magnitude earthquake was reported in Myanmar, with a 6.4-magnitude reported minutes later. At least 3,600 people and 5,000 were injured during the incident on March 28.
