Cardi B opened up about filing for divorce from Offset.
The âPressâ rapper officially broke her silence on the sensitive situation in an Instagram Live on Friday (September 18), in which she said sheâs ânot hurtâ and isnât crying over her decision. What's more, Cardi also refuted rumors that Offset was unfaithful to her, calling the claim a "complete lie."
"Every single time that this guy has been so crazy, so fâed up and it hits the media, I'm always crying, always sad because I don't like that type of sât," the "WAP" star said. "This time, I wasn't crying. You want to know why? The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that sât that ever happened before. It's not because of cheating. I'm seeing people be like, 'Oh, he has a baby on the way.' That's a whole fâing complete lie. That's the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that's bullsât."
Addressing what led her to call it quits, she explained, âNothing crazy out of this world happened, sometimes people really do grow apart."
âI been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this manâŠsometimes youâre just tired of the arguments and the buildup," Cardi added. "You get tired sometimes. And before something bad happens, before you get left, before you get cheated on, you sometimes you just want to leave. What is so bad about that?"
Responding to haters who claim sheâs only dissolving her marriage âfor clout,â the Bronx native hit back, âIâm not doing it for clout and on top of that I donât need stunts to sell music. Iâm not [trying to] brag but donât ever say Iâm doing anything for clout.â
Cardiâs livestream comes days after she filed for divorce from the Migos rapper earlier this week. Per reports, she cited irreconcilable differences and indicated her marriage is âirretrievably brokenâ and reconciliation was a no-go.
The rappers, who share 2-year-old daughter Kulture, secretly tied the knot in 2017.
