Miley Cyrus Announces 'She Is Coming' With New Music May 30

The 2019 Met Gala Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion - Arrivals

Miley Cyrus is coming!

On Thursday (May 9), the singer gave Smilers an official date for when she's releasing new music with a trippy announcement post on Instagram. The "Malibu" star shared three flashing, black-and-white animation on her account, which together spell out the phrase, "She Is Coming." This seems to indicate that Cyrus, after months of anticipation, will finally be returning with solo material of her own this year, possibly arriving May 30, as she hints in her Instagram bio.

It's unsure whether the phrase is the name of a song, her new LP, or just a signal for something big to come. Hours prior, however, the 26-year-old teased fans on Twitter with word of a new song she previewed for iHeartRadio yesterday. "Just played the record for @iHeartRadio and they fucking flipped and so will you!" Cyrus captioned along with a set of images of her at the station's headquarters.

See the evidence below. (WARNING: Should probably be avoided by those who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy and those who are sensitive to flashing lights.)

The imminent arrival comes days after Cyrus previewed a new song titled "Bad Karma" on her way to the 2019 Met Gala. The songstress played a snippet of the track in a set of Instagram Stories from Polish supermodel Anja Rubik. In one clip, Cyrus can be heard singing the lyrics "Kiss me, bad karma" as a bass-bumping beat, funky grooves and ad-libs play in the background.

What's more, it was also rumored "Bad Karma" would feature Shawn Mendes, with whom she is believed to have recorded a tune on her seventh studio album. Cyrus' latest offerings, "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" and a cover of John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," were collaborations with producer Mark Ronson which dropped in late-2018. Cyrus' last record, Younger Now, landed in September 2017.
