Jennifer Lopez Talks About Blending Families With Alex Rodriguez

It's no secret that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's romance is one for the books, but their families have seemingly united as well behind-the-scenes.

In this week's PEOPLE cover story in promotion for her upcoming film, Second Act, which hits theaters on December 21, Lopez spoke candidly about her two-year romance with Rodriguez. "We love each other and we love our life together," the 49-year-old titan told the magazine. "The exciting part of our love is that we're both very aware of how lucky we are to have found each other."

Part of that luck has seen Lopez's 10-year-old twins, Emme and Max, from her marriage to Marc Anthony, get along so well with Rodriguez's daughters from a previous marriage, Natasha, 14, and Ella, 10. "Kids are so beautiful and open to love and new friends," admitted. "I was so loving to his kids and he was so loving and accepting of mine, and they embraced each other right away. [It was] 'I get a new bonus brother and sisters to hang out with all the time and it's nice.'"

A-Rod is equally happy that the two families have been able to blend so well with each other, saying, "Our kids have become best friends and that keeps us both grounded and appreciative. We couldn't have asked for anything better than the four of them getting along as they do."
