Mac Miller may be gone be he will never be forgotten.

On Wednesday (September 12), Kendrick Lamar joined the dozens of musicians that have shared touching tributes for the late rapper. Nearly a week after the 26-year-old's unexpected death, Kendrick remembered his friend and collaborator in a video recorded for Complex's Open Late With Peter Rosenberg.

"He was a good dude. Always made you feel good, great energy to have around. [He was a] great musician, great writer. Just always had a smile on his face, and that's something that I commend," Kendrick said. "No matter what he was going through, he didn't make you feel sorry for him. He was strong about it."

Kendrick, who collaborated with Mac for his 2016 track "God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty," also gushed about Mac's great sense of humor, saying he was a "funny, funny, funny individual."

"He always kept a smile on his face because he wanted you to smile too, and that’s just something I always loved," the "HUMBLE" rapper continued. "No matter whatever personal issues, he gave you that energy. It wasn't no 'misery loves company' with him. He showed a smile and you gave that smile right back. It made you feel good. So forever we gonna remember the life and we gonna remember that smile. Celebrate. Mac Miller. Love!"

Macklemore, Machine Gun Kelly, Ty Dolla $ign, and more also paid tribute to Mac on Wednesday's episode of Open Late With Peter Rosenberg. The musicians' tributes came one day after fans held a public vigil in Mac's hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at one of Mac's favorite spots, Blue Slide Park. The "2009" rapper actually named his debut album after the Pittsburgh landmark.

As previously reported, the "Self Care" rapper, born Malcolm James McCormick, was found dead of an apparent overdose in his home in San Fernando Valley on Friday (September 7).
