If you haven’t finished season 2 of Stranger Things — warning! — spoilers ahead. Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas on the hit Netflix series, stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, January 12, and dished on all things Stranger Things — including that kiss with newcomer Max (Sadie Sink).
“It was pretty crazy,” Caleb told Ryan. “[It was my first on-screen kiss] — and off-screen as well.”
The adorable season 2 moment happens during the Hawkins Middle School Snow Ball and cements their budding romance. The moment though, Caleb told Ryan, wasn’t as cute as it appeared.
“I was like wow this is a good opportunity for me to practice for the future, but it was fine,” the 16-year-old added. “The weird thing was that the extras were also fans so they were like fangirling over Mike and Eleven kissing [too] and stuff.”
