Disney/Pixarโs future classic Coco stars familiar names like Gael Garcia Bernal and Benjamin Bratt.
But its main character Miguel is voiced by 12-year-old Anthony Gonzalez who had landed a few roles before, but nothing nearly as big as this.
So the filmmakers decided to give Anthony the surprise of his life when they cast him.
"Lee Unkrich, the director, told me that they had a present for me and it was this wonderful piece of artwork that said: you got the part,โ he says. โI was shocked and I couldnโt believe that from here on out then my life would change. I couldnโt believe that I was part of such an amazing movie."
Coco is in theaters today.
