So we definitely can't blame Netflix or Hulu or any of the other streaming services that allows us to binge-watch TV for the issue... but, we certainly need to take a look at our watching habits!
An Australian study finds that the act of sitting and watching TV for long periods of time has a link to an increased risk of dying from inflammatory diseases like Alzheimer’s and diabetes.
Of the people studied, each additional hour of watching TV increased your risk by 12%... and those who watched 4 or more hours of TV were at the greatest risk for developing inflammatory diseases.
So what's the solution? Just make sure you're moving around and being active every day. I know some days you want to come home from work and just sit down and relax, but make sure there isn't too much sitting all at one time.
