A Russian couple are making headlines for potentially having the most lavish wedding of the year. Aleksey Shapovalov and model Ksenia Tsaritsina, 27, tied the knot in a luxury ceremony held in Moscow at the Barvikha Luxury Village hotel in Rublekva.
The duo first made headlines after Shapovalov proposed to Tsaritsina with a massive 70-carat diamond engagement ring that reportedly costs $9 million euros.
The model took to Instagram to share a video of the diamond and also shared snaps from their nuptials, which consisted of an 8-tier cake and numerous performances from artists including Eurovision runner-up Polina Gagarina and rock band Leningrad.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan Russia, Tsaritsina revealed that her husband thought she needed a diamond larger than one like Elizabeth Taylor’s infamous gem.
“My husband is never too stingy to buy me presents,” she told the magazine. “Now he made a decision that a 30-carat ring is not enough for me.”
