Or James Van Der Beek and Tom Stourton for that matter. The DJ called in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, August 22, to chat about his latest single and new Viceland TV show, What Would Diplo Do?
In the scripted series, James Van Der Beek plays Diplo and gets into a feud with Tom Stourton who plays Calvin Harris.
Although the show is based off Diploโs personal experiences โ just โexaggeratedโ โ the โKnow No Betterโ artist said heโs all good with Harris.
โI never actually fought with Calvin Harris โฆ but I think if I did, it would be funny like that because heโs got a really great sense of humor,โ Diplo shared of the scene. โTwitter feuds are a funny thing so we just kind of made fun of that.โ
The Grammy nominee explained that the idea of his show stemmed from parodying the DJ culture.
โIโm happy to be part of [the DJ culture] โฆ but itโs a silly world we are in,โ he concluded. โIf youโre going to put that DJ world on TV, youโve got to make it stupid.โ
