Former NBA player Darius Morris has died at the age of 33, the Athletic's Shams Charania reported on Saturday (May 4).

Morris spent four seasons in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets, averaging 3.3 points, 1.4 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 132 games.

"Four-year NBA veteran Darius Morris has passed away at the age of 33. Morris played for the Lakers, 76ers, Clippers, Grizzlies and Nets from 2011-2015," Charania wrote on his X account.

Morris was selected by the Lakers at No. 41 overall in the second-round of the 2011 NBA Draft and made two starts in four appearances during the 2013 NBA Playoffs, which included scoring a career-best 24 points in a Game 3 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, and all 17 of his regular season starts during that same year.

Morris signed with the Sixers ahead of the 2013-14 season, appearing in 12 games, which included scoring an NBA regular season career-best 20 points in a November 2013 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, before being waived and signing two 10-day contracts with the Clippers in January 2014. The former University of Michigan standout signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies in February 2014 before being acquired by the RIo Grand Valley Vipers of the then-NBA D-League in March 2014.

Morris signed with the Brooklyn Nets in December 2014 before being waived the following June.
